There are more than 7,000 fish and chip shops across the UK, and cod and haddock are still the most common fish on the menu. Long fish fillets need room, and a standard countertop fryer, with its compact, deep tank, doesn’t give them much. The Infernus INF-13L has a long, shallow tank and a wide basket, so fillets lie flat while they cook.

Fish First, but Not Only Fish

It also fries chips, chicken, scampi and onion rings. The thermostat runs from 60°C to 200°C, and the 13-litre tank takes good-sized batches, which suits chip shops, takeaways, cafés and food trucks.

Can You Fry Fish and Chicken in the Same Fryer?

You can, but be careful. Fish is an allergen, and it can pass into other food through shared oil. It can also make chicken and chips taste of fish. That’s why many takeaways keep one fryer just for fish, and because the Infernus sits on a worktop, it’s a simple way to add one. For more help, read the Food Standards Agency’s allergen guidance for food businesses.

Easy to Look After

The drain tap on the front makes oil changes quicker and cleaner, and the heating element lifts out so you can clean the whole tank. Two lids fold back on either side, and the basket has a handle at each end for lifting out a full load. The fryer is stainless steel, has a UK plug fitted and comes with a 12 Months Parts Warranty.

The Infernus 13L is £398 + VAT (£477.60 inc) and comes with Fast Free UK Mainland Delivery.
