Ice Machines

In a busy bar, restaurant or hotel, running out of ice isn’t an option. Neither is the wrong type. Commercial ice machines vary considerably in output, ice format and footprint, and getting the right match for your operation makes a real difference to service — and to your running costs.

DC machines make up the core of our range and cover most requirements well, from compact self-contained units producing 20kg a day through to higher-output models suited to busier venues. Maidaid adds modular and undercounter options for operations that need cube or half dice ice at volume. Hoshizaki brings Japanese build quality to the self-contained market, Prodis offers a strong mid-range choice across several ice formats, and Masterfrost covers lighter use with a solid entry-level bullet ice machine.

Ice type matters more than most buyers expect. Classic cube ice is the most versatile — good for drinks, food display and general cooling. Granular and pebble ice suit soft drinks and blended drinks particularly well and are popular in fast food and casual dining. Flake ice is the go-to for fish and seafood display. If you’re unsure which format suits your setup, a quick call usually sorts it — we know this range well.

Storage capacity is the other key variable. The production figure tells you how much ice the machine can make in 24 hours, but the bin capacity tells you how much it holds at any one time. High-footfall venues often need a bigger bin to cope with peak service periods even if their daily production requirement is modest.
