A Big Shout-Out to Two of East Anglia’s Finest Chippies.

Two local favourites have earned a place in the national spotlight.

Grosvenor Fish Bar in Norwich and Tulula’s Fish & Chips in Halesworth have both reached the UK’s Top 40 for Takeaway of the Year. The category forms part of the National Fish & Chip Awards 2027.

From all of us at Anglia Catering Equipment, huge congratulations to both teams!

We spend plenty of time talking about commercial fryers and chip shop equipment. It’s a pleasure to celebrate the people behind the counters, especially here in East Anglia.

More Than Great Fish and Chips

Making the Top 40 is no small achievement. The awards recognise some of the best businesses in the industry, and judging goes well beyond the food.

Alongside product quality, contenders are assessed on hygiene, customer service and industry knowledge. Environmental and operational sustainability also form part of the assessment.

Next, the Top 40 will become 20 semi-finalists. From there, ten finalists will be selected.

National Recognition for Two Local Favourites

It’s great to see Norfolk and Suffolk represented in the Top 40 by these two local businesses:

👏 Grosvenor Fish Bar – Norwich, Norfolk

👏 Tulula’s Fish & Chips – Halesworth, Suffolk

The overall Takeaway of the Year winner will be announced in February 2027.

Good luck in the next round. We’ll be rooting for you!
