As Britain marks British Food Fortnight 2025 from 26 September to 12 October, we’re celebrating seasonal, homegrown produce. This year’s theme, “Strengthening the roots that bind us,” invites everyone to reconnect with growers and makers.

During the Fortnight, the UK bursts into flavour. From Cornwall to Kent, and from Glasgow to Cardiff, towns and cities showcase regional food. For example, markets highlight coastal seafood, farmhouse cheeses, and fresh veg from local growers. As a result, you can taste your way around Britain in just two weeks.

Who Gets Involved

Restaurants, pubs, schools, care homes, and caterers all take part. Many add specials, run tastings, and spotlight UK suppliers. Meanwhile, communities host markets, cookery demos, and simple workshops.
