From compact undercounter glasswashers to larger dish and tray washers, the Maidaid C-Series offers a choice of commercial warewashing machines for bars, cafés, pubs, restaurants, hotels and busy commercial kitchens.

The range includes the C35D, C40D, C40WSD, C45D, C50D, C55WSD, C51D and C61D. Rack sizes, capacities and electrical options all differ across the line-up, so there’s a model for most kitchens and bars. Picking the right one comes down to what you’re washing, how often, and how much space you’ve got to fit it in.

Drain Pumps Across the Range

Every model in the current C-Series comes with a drain pump as standard. You’re not stuck choosing between a gravity-drain machine and a pump-assisted one. That matters more than it sounds. A drain pump lets the machine sit further from a floor gully or waste point, giving you more flexibility over where the unit actually goes in a tight kitchen or bar back.

Selected models, including the C40WSD and C55WSD, also come with a built-in water softener. Worth having if you’re in a hard water area. Untreated hard water leaves limescale on glasses and heating elements alike, which shows up as cloudy glassware and, eventually, a shorter machine lifespan.

Designed for Efficient Warewashing

A busy service means the warewasher is rarely standing still. So efficiency across the C-Series translates directly into lower running costs. Machines use as little as 1.5 litres of water per cycle, depending on the model.

Several models in the range, including the C51D, C55WSD and C61D, wash both glasses and plates rather than being built for one or the other. That’s a real advantage for venues that serve food alongside drinks — gastropubs, hotel bars, cafés with a lunch menu. One machine handles front-of-house glassware and back-of-house crockery. No need to run two separate washers and double up on space, plumbing and maintenance.

Build quality matters just as much as programme count when a machine is running dozens of cycles a day. Every model has an insulated double-skin body to help retain heat between washes. Triple filtration keeps the wash water cleaner for longer. Quick-release wash and rinse arms make daily cleaning and descaling straightforward rather than a chore. Programme numbers vary by model, from five on the compact C35D up to nine on the C51D, C55WSD and C61D. Worth matching that number to your actual wash routine, since a fast-turnaround bar has different needs to a hotel kitchen washing mixed loads.

The range also meets EN17735, the industry standard for commercial warewasher hygiene. That’s your assurance that glasses, plates and trays come out properly sanitised, cycle after cycle.

Compact Glasswashers

Not every venue has room for a full-size dishwasher. The smaller end of the C-Series is built with exactly that in mind. The C35D uses a compact 350 x 350mm rack, making it a natural fit for small bars, cafés and anywhere the back bar is already crowded with bottles and glassware.

The C40D and C40WSD step up to 390 x 390mm racks. That’s a bit more capacity without needing a bigger footprint. The C45D goes further still, offering a larger 450 x 450mm rack together with bottle-wash capability — useful if your operation handles a lot of reusable bottles alongside standard glassware.

This gives operators a genuine choice, based on available space, glassware volume and how quickly you need to turn stock around during a busy shift.

500mm Glass & Dishwashing

Once glassware volume or plate numbers climb, the compact machines start to struggle to keep pace. That’s where the C50D and C55WSD come in, moving up to a 500 x 500mm rack for higher-capacity washing. Go for the C55WSD specifically if you’re in a hard water area — its built-in water softener earns its keep there.

The C51D Glass/Dishwasher takes this further, handling glassware and crockery in the same machine. It accommodates up to 18 plates and offers nine wash programmes, including a fast 75-second cycle for quick turnaround during peak service. A convenient 13A plug-in version is available, alongside higher-powered options for sites with a suitable electrical supply. A sensible choice for pubs, restaurants and hotel bars that need one machine to do double duty.

Stepping Up to Tray & Dishwashing

At the larger end of the range, the C61D Tray/Dishwasher uses a 500 x 600mm rack and a maximum usable height of 380mm. That extra capacity suits busy kitchens, canteens and larger dining operations handling plates, trays and bulkier wash loads.

It offers nine programmes and an 80-second fast cycle. A built-in break tank and rinse booster pump help keep wash quality consistent, even when the machine is running back-to-back cycles through a lunch or dinner rush.

What About Power?

Electrical supply is worth checking before you order. Selected C-Series models come as 13A plug-in units, with higher-powered single and three-phase options available on certain models.
