This Week’s Smart Buys: Graded & Reconditioned Commercial Catering Equipment

It has never been more important to get value for money. Rising costs, tighter margins and increasing pressure on cash flow mean every purchasing decision counts. Graded and reconditioned equipment is increasingly where the smart money is going — reliable performance, fit for purpose, and leaving more available for stock, staffing, marketing and refurbishment where it’s needed most.

Latest Arrivals

Blizzard BAR2SL Double Sliding Door Bottle Cooler

Back-bar space is tight. Sliding doors make more sense than hinged alternatives — no doors swinging into busy service areas, just clean access to chilled stock. The BAR2SL stores up to 202 bottles, with LED lighting, fan-assisted cooling and lockable sliding doors. A practical choice for pubs, clubs and restaurants looking to maximise chilled drinks storage.

Blizzard BAR1 Single Door Bottle Cooler

Not every venue needs a large back-bar cooler. The BAR1 suits smaller sites, secondary service points, café counters and hospitality venues where space is limited. Compact footprint, up to 135 bottles, excellent product visibility through the glazed door.

Blizzard BC350 Glass Door Merchandiser

Simple display refrigeration remains one of the most effective ways to encourage impulse purchases. The BC350 provides 350 litres of chilled display capacity behind a full-height glass door — suitable for cafés, farm shops, convenience stores, sports clubs and workplace environments. Customers see the product. They buy the product. A merchandiser like this does the work for you.

Blizzard LS60 Upright Freezer

Larger kitchens often need significantly more freezer capacity. The LS60 delivers 550 litres of gross storage. Professionally repaired and tested following a refrigeration leak — the result is a large-capacity commercial freezer at a fraction of the cost of a comparable new model.

Simag SDH64 Ice Machine

The Simag SDH64 is worth a closer look. Producing up to 63kg of ice every 24 hours and storing up to 20kg internally, it’s a self-contained ice maker built for busy bars, restaurants and hospitality venues. Professionally reconditioned, replacing the timer/PCB, evaporator thermostat, bin stat and water pump before fully testing it.

Graded or Reconditioned — What’s the Difference?

These terms don’t mean the same thing — and the difference matters.

Graded equipment is typically new stock discounted due to cosmetic imperfections. Cancelled orders, transit damage, end of line clearance, returned deliveries — the unit is in full working order. The price reflects the appearance, not the performance. A scratch on the side of a bottle cooler hidden behind a bar doesn’t affect how it cools.

Qualified engineers mechanically inspect, repair and fully test reconditioned equipment before it leaves the supplier. It arrives ready to work.

Both represent exceptional value. Neither should be confused with used or second hand stock — they are a different proposition entirely.

Every unit on this page has its condition detailed individually on the product page. Additional detail and photographs are available on request. We believe in total transparency — you should know exactly what you’re buying before you commit. All units come with a 1-year parts warranty as standard and free UK mainland delivery included.

Why More Businesses Are Choosing Graded

The hospitality sector continues to face pressure from rising operating costs, staffing challenges and tight cash flow. More operators are looking beyond brand-new equipment when expanding or replacing ageing kit.

A scratch on the side of a freezer hidden in a kitchen rarely affects service. Having extra capital available elsewhere in the business often does.
