National Toast Day
National Toast Day — 26th February 2026.
What’s more comforting than toast?
Hot, buttered, maybe a bit of Marmite. Jam if that’s your thing. However you have it, it works.
On 26th February it’s National Toast Day — which might sound light-hearted, but toast does more on a menu than people realise.
Breakfast plates. Club sandwiches. Toasted subs. Burgers with toasted buns. Beans on toast. It shows up everywhere.
And when you’re making it in volume, it needs to be consistent.
Conveyor or Slot — What’s the Difference?
If toast is constant during service, the type of toaster matters.
Conveyor Toasters
Designed for output.
Bread goes in one side and comes out the other evenly browned. Once set, they keep running. That’s why they’re common in hotels, breakfast buffets and busy cafés.
If toast never really stops, conveyor keeps things moving.
We also stock graded conveyor toasters — a practical option if you need the capacity but want to keep costs down.
Slot Toasters
Smaller footprint. Batch-based.
They’re straightforward and suit cafés or kitchens where toast isn’t running all day. You get control over browning, but you’re loading and unloading each batch manually.
They take up less space and cost less, but they won’t handle the same volume as a conveyor model.
Why It Matters
On 26th February, let’s toast toast. Simple, reliable and still one of the most satisfying things you can put on a plate.
